Final Project On Interviews From The NPR Network

I listened to 3 interviews from NPR For a final tach project. Their first interview was with a guy named Jim Dooley who created a wii game called "Epic Mickey." In this interview NPR ask Jim about how hard it was to put music in not just games but movies too. He also talkes about how he had to make his music flow throughout the game and he did so very well as they played some of the music throughout the interview with Jim Dooley.
The Second one was on Guy who created a website with people who where from all around on hotels around the world. Also inorder from to create this website he needed to get hotels from all over the world to make them create a website and they needed to be paid with money. Many of these hotels are in India where he is from.
The third Interview was with a women named Sara Allen who is one of the other 20% of women who is in computer programming. She is working on a project called Salmon gray, Where she will make products that I don't know of. Many programmers that are women don't get accepted but Sara allen was lucky to get accepted as a computer programmer. Her mom was the first women to sell the apple 2 and her brought one home and she learned by herself how to use and operate the computer.

Googles Doodles

OnGoogle

One interesting thing I have learned about google is the yahoo had a chance to buy google in 1998 and they turned it down. Another interesting fact about google can track what you search but they don't track you down or use this data for bad uses. Another interesting fact is that when they where going to release the google goggles they didn't because people thought it was really bad so they took it back and made it better. Google maps helps emergency crews to help finds abandoned buildings and other things. they have customized map. LA police was going to put their data in google cloud but they didn't because it could fall into the wrong hands.

How Art influences Tech And how Tech Influences Art

This is my reflection on how Art influences tech and tech influences art in the movie making in the Disney movies.

Art Influences Tech-
Art ask's technology to help out on some of their movies. artist thought that if they used technology to help create their animation character so scene they would get fired or released. In the short film Squash, stretch, zoom art needed technology's help by creating the scenes and the characters that where in the short film. later on in the late 80's or early 90's Pixar finally created their very first movie that was totally created by using technology. This movie that Pixar created was called toy story.

Tech Influences Art-
In the 1970's the artists finally took technology into consider and would later use technology to create all the film including the ones we see today. Technology later helped George Lucas create the movie Star Wars. Technology created these little tiny triangles to help create the movies we see today. The short film Tin Toy was the first Oscar award winning short film ever.

Copyright questions

This is my google doc on copyrights. Along with some questions that i have answered. Please click here for the questions.

Copyrights

I had an assignment on copyright where i had to read an article on what happens when you don't copyright correctly and what you can do so you can copyright correctly. One bad thing is never copy and past everything in a article or story or book. Always go online and look up how to copyright correctly and don't just guess. And one last thing always write things in your own words not the author words.

Going Social

My assignment was to read a chapter from Microsoft eBook. The chapter being on Social media networks..

 Summary of chapter 11:

This chapter was basically on a girl who got scammed by a malware targeting social network site that she was not aware of at the time until till she got scammed. People do this to other people because this is where everybody is spending the time, on the internet on social media websites like twitter and Facebook, or other social media websites. These websites allow tons of people from anywhere in the to find out what you are doing and where you live or any other personal information they want to know about you and your personal life.

Before Facebook and twitter even existed, their was the first social media network created called "Myspace". This brought a good hit to the world where people could interact with each other. Then became so popular it spread throw the whole world, to 30 different countries. There where 125 million Myspace user threw out the whole world. WOW that's a lot of people. Then a year later Facebook come and was created by a Harvard Sophomore who's name was Mark Zuckerburg. It took three Years for Facebook to catch up with Myspace in terms of how many people used it. By 2009 72% of teens and young adults where using at least one social networking site. By 2010 an average Facebook user had 130 friends.( Both of these websites have policies against "Harmful Content" as well as content deemed offensive or abusive).

By 2009 phishing expeditions  on social networks nearly everybody's daily basics. Some where memorable like FBAction.net, Koobface, and Areps.at. These things took place as status updates and embedded links that you posted on you status.

Webcams and cameras and photos and also danger your personal info, because when you enter a photo on to lets say Facebook you give away your identity to other people with can be bad. Also when you upload a video people can copy and paste it like on YouTube or on Google videos or any other video posting website. They can also make fun of you in any kind of way that may be very harmful to you.

Some key words:

Social networking site: A website that allows users to define relationships between themselves and network among not just their own friends but friends of friends and friends of friends friends-ever expanding their online network.

Poke: Hitting poke in Facebook lets another user know you'd like to get his or her's attention.
